Frontend Engineer (React, Next.js, React Native) – Marketplace Platform 📍 Cochin, Kerala | 🏢 Hybrid Mode

About the Role

We are building a modern marketplace platform focused on listings, discovery, and transactions. This role is for engineers who think beyond UI — you’ll work on performance, scalability, and real-world product behavior.

This is an AI-assisted development environment, where speed is high and quality is critical.

You’ll play a key role in turning AI-generated and design inputs into a clean, scalable frontend system.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable web apps using React and Next.js
• Develop mobile apps using React Native

• Implement core product experiences:

  • listings and detail pages
  • search and filtering
  • cart and checkout flows
• Translate design concepts or AI-generated UI into clean, reusable components
• Optimize performance (SSR, lazy loading, caching, responsiveness)
• Collaborate with backend to design efficient APIs
• Ensure mobile-first, high-quality user experience
• Identify edge cases and ensure UI correctness

AI-Driven Development Environment

• We use AI tools extensively for code generation and iteration

• Your role is to:

  • guide AI to produce usable code
  • validate correctness and performance
  • identify gaps, edge cases, and UX issues
• You are responsible for the final quality of what ships

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of frontend development experience

• Strong skills in:

  • React.js
  • Next.js (SSR/SSG concepts)
  • React Native

• Solid understanding of:

  • API integration (REST/GraphQL)
  • state management
  • performance optimization
• Experience building component-based, reusable UI systems

What We’re Looking For

• Strong problem-solving and debugging ability
• Ability to reason about UI behavior, not just implement it
• Good UX judgment (can identify confusing flows or poor interactions)
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, AI-assisted workflow
• Ownership mindset — you don’t rely blindly on generated code
• Experience with e-commerce or marketplace products
• Understanding of search/filter UX at scale
• SEO and page performance optimization

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with design systems and UI libraries (e.g., Tailwind, Material UI, shadcn/ui)
• Experience working with Figma or similar tools

• Not a pure UI implementation role
• Not suitable if your experience is limited to theme/customization work
• Not for engineers who rely blindly on AI outputs
